The safety rules
The safety rules of the Waldseilgarten – Höllschlucht (WSG)
1. Each participant must read the rules before using the WSG. He agrees with his signature that he has understood them and accepts them. The adult responsible for any children under the age of 16 must read through the rules and make them clear to them before they take part. The names of all participants under the age of 16 must be written on the reverse side of this form.
2. The use of the WSG - Höllschlucht is potentially dangerous and you agree to participate at your own risk. For the liability of the owner see point 7.
3. The WSG cannot be used by children under the age of 6. You shouldn’t suffer from any illness or psychological or physical disabilities that could potentially be a danger either to yourself or to others in the WSG. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 must always be with an somebody over the age of 16 when using the WSG. Anybody under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication are not allowed to use the WSG.
4. Do not take objects with you that may be dangerous either to yourself or other participants, eg. Jewellery, Cameras, Mobile phones.
5. Each participant must undergo a short instruction demonstration before taking part. The security instructions given by the trainer must be followed at all times.
6. The equipment must be used only in the way directed in the instruction. The equipment we give you is for your use only and should not be used by anybody else. It must be returned to us within three hrs of its receipt. If you go to the toilet then afterwards please get your harness checked again by a member of staff.
The two safety carabiners which you are given must always be clipped into the red marked metal securtiy cable. At the seilbahn only clip into the red marked figure 8/metal ring. The ladders are equipped with a security rope and you must secure yourself to this as instructed by a member of staff. It is extremely important that you remove one carabiner at a time when going from one station to another, and never the two together! This way you are always secure. We will show you how to do these things in a short instruction course given to you before climbing.
7. We are not held responsible for any injury or loss of objects howsoever caused in the Waldseilgarten - Höllschlucht.
8. Access to the hardest Parours (Nr.5) is only allowed after Parours 1–4 and 6 +7 are completed. The minimum age for Parours 5 is 16.
9. Only one person is allowed on each station and a maximum of three people at a time on the platforms.
10. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if they do not follow the security steps given to them. We reserve the right to close the Waldseilgarten - Höllschlucht due to adverse weather conditions. In these cases and also if you decide to finish early at anytime then we will not issue a refund.
11. We are not held responsible for any damage to clothing caused by tree resin.
12. At the end of each Parours there is a zip line (flying foxes). Either stand in the direction of travel or sit down on the platform. The belay rope should, however, be tight and your head held high. Try to run when you approach the ground when it is possible.
13. Smoking is not permitted in any areas of the Waldseilgarten.
